… the first winery in the Saar valley

The former Prussian estate from 1898 with its chateau character sits high above the river Saar in Serrig. The entire estate was built in 1904 and belongs to the wine region MOSEL. Today, the siblings Felix and Annalena Heimes lead together the winery. Felix Heimes (born 1995) is responsible for the cellar and the vineyards. Annalena (30 years old) for the rest.

The young winemaker Felix is currently cultivating 17 hectares of vineyards. The grape varieties are Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Auxerrois. Craftsmanship is highlighted by a lot of hand work. We also truly believe in harvesting 100% of the grapes by hand.

The most important sites are the Serriger Herrenberg, the Serriger Würtzberg and the Ockfener Bockstein. The family winery owns the Serriger Herrenberg and Serriger Würtzberg, which are two “VDP.GROSSE LAGEN” and are characterized by their steep slopes facing the Saar. The two monopoly vineyards have a specific microclimate due to the Serriger barrage.
